Estamos en el doscientos aniversario de La Constitución del 1812 (La Pepa), un documento que fue un hito en su época, el tercer texto constitucional de la Humanidad, después de la Constitución de Estados Unidos (1787) y la francesa (1791). Este texto que si bien no tuvo una vida larga plantó los cimientos de una nueva era en la que la democracia nacía. Supuso también un texto del que se informaría America Latina en su proceso de autodeterminación. La Constitución actual cuyas bases tienen su origen en este texto es hoy el documento más valiosos de nuestra legislación, la guardiana de los derechos fundamentales y la base para la creación de un estado social y democrático. Con motivo de este aniversario planteamos el abrir un espacio en nuestro tradicional Parque de Santa Catalina, para compartir con los transeuntes el contenido de un documento de incalculable valor y el cual debería ser conocido por todos, recordándonos (en estos momentos tan delicados a nivel político para los ciudadanos, en los que nuestros derechos civiles y fundamentales están siendo atacados por un sitema coorporativo) el valor de este texto por el que generaciones lucharon para la consecución de sociedades más igualitarias. En este momento nos parece fundamental formular estas palabras, oirlas, leerlas en alto para que no se olviden, por un lado el esfuerzo de los que han luchado por conseguir este documento y por otro la importancia del mismo que se sitúa por encima de Monarquias y Gobiernos. Para ello planteamos que una vez al mes un grupo de artistas y juristas dediquen unas horas a leer y explicar la constitución. Esta pieza parte performance, parte intervención pública,”Hablando con Pepa “, pretende crear en el emblemático parque un espacio para el intercambio de ideas, al modo de las tertulias tradicionales de las plazas, el proyecto abre un espacio donde todos puedan participar. We are in the 200 anniversary of the Spanish Constitution of 1812 (La Pepa), a very advanced document at the time, third of its kind after the USA (1787) and the French (1791). This Constitution did not have a long life but it was the inspiring text for future Constitutions as well as serving like the model for Latinoamerica´ s emancipation. Todays Spanish Constitution has its based in this document and it is where sits the pilars of the social and democratic state. We are opening a monthly space in Santa Catalina Park to read this document at a time where the fundamental and civil rights seems to be in jeopardy all over the world. Tired of Counting, 2011

Everything is reduce to money, Economy and numbers so it is life. The repetition, the emptiness invades our understanding of a world that tries to give economical value to everything on it.
Since childhood I have a conflict with numbers, they bore me, the abstraction of them move me away from the real, from what I consider real, from emotions, people, nature, life... In an economical world, everything is tiresome, jobs are transform in a parody, trap in this realm man can only count.

Premiada con Madrid Procesos 2011/awarded the price Madrid Procesos 2011 Madrid, 19th to 26th of July.
In this public intervention, the artists from daily services (Maria Linares&rosa mesa) offered their services as scribes. Offering free paper, free envelops, free stamps and the chance to serve as a scribe for the passerbys, daily services worked for a week in Madrid writting letters in the streets. The project tried for a week to revitalize the practice of handwriting almost extinguished after the arrival of new technologies.
Intervención pública en la que las artistas de daily services (María Linares y rosa mesa) ponen a disposición del público sus servicios como escribientes. Las artistas ofrecen a los transeuntes la posibilidad de enviar una carta escrita a mano a un ser querido de forma gratuita, que ellas llevan al correo. daily services pone a los transeuntes en contacto con la escritura caligráfica y la profesión del escribiente, extinguida ya en casi todo el mundo debido a la expansión de redes digitales de comunicación.

Neukoelln 48 Stunden, Berlin
















As part of the collective daily services(Maria Linares&rosa mesa) have presented during the Neukoelln 48 Stunden Festival in Berlin, the piece dalily deluxe, a public intervention where people could enjoy a thai massage, a face massage or some hair styling, all for free sitting in our comfortable mobile daily station. Over 100 people enjoy this weekend the project.

Series: I hate white: "Stained" 2011

This is the third and last performance from the series I hate white, a trilogie dealing with nationalism, racism and violence. This piece was presented at Kurt Kurt Forever in Sant Denis.
The piece deals with the idea of Tacheé(Stained, Manchados), the idea of being somehow a visible minority and with the destruction of the idols, the symbols and those icons that we though once untachable.
